Here is a video that I spliced together using the software Final Cut Pro. The film examines the conspicuous consumption happening in New York City. To expose the disparity, I filmed New Yorkers and celebrities shopping and dining in wealthy parts of the city such as Madison, Fifth Avenue, and the Upper East Side.
This footage was then intertwined with scenes of those not able to consume at all and who appeared to be suffering the most such as the thousands of people who live on the streets everyday. I also added some dystopian sound effects which intensify the overall piece. Produced by Will Bradford. Special Thanks to Vinay Chowdhry and Christopher Petsos.
